All sessions are done over Zoom. Unlike therapy where there is a rigid timeframe, coaching sessions can last anywhere between 40 and 60 - minutes: we generally continue until the session comes to its natural resolution and completion.

Revive Communication & Understanding in Your Relationship
Every couple comes against challenges that are difficult to navigate without help. Coaching supports by slowing things down so both parties can be heard and understood. Communication is key. Most relationship issues stem from one or both parties not feeling heard. When we slow down and listen, it creates an opening for mutual understanding which then fosters love.
Rebuild & Overcome Relationship Challenges
Using a structure based on positive framing, couples coaching isn't about complaining, blaming or finger pointing. It's about getting underneath misunderstandings, hurt and feelings of abandonment that so often take hold within a relationship and returning to the compassion and admiration of the other that we had in the "honeymoon" phase. By cultivating deeper connection and appreciation within the sessions and learning to speak authentically but without malice,couples working with Rob can work through the trials and tribulations that every relationship eventually goes through.

Successful couples coaches work best on a foundation of civility in the relationship and a basic ability to listen to the other’s point of view. I work with couples who are triggering each other, having a hard time figuring out why, challenged by getting out of their own way and looking for support to navigate difficult conversations. I generally don’t work with couples who are experiencing an excess of animosity and judgment, who are “on the brink” of separation or are completely estranged. Some resentment or anger is expected, and we need to be able to talk and listen for the coaching to work.

Listening and understanding both sides is key. Even more important is "setting the table" for each partner to listen and understand the other. This means making sure both sides have the opportunity to be heard. Slowing the conversation down, limiting cross-talk and “mirroring” are the basic components of couples coaching. Rob provides tools to help avoid their typical pitfalls and often assigns homework so the work continues between sessions.

All sessions are done over Zoom. Unlike therapy where there is a rigid timeframe, couples sessions can last anywhere between 60 to 75 - minutes: we generally continue until the session comes to its natural completion. With couples, it’s not always possible to have a full resolution, and that’s OK but we strive to have a greater sense of understanding and compassion for each other with each session.

Meditation is a core practice for anyone on the path of personal growth, self-exploration, and self-mastery. By redirecting the mind many new skills can be gained that increase a sense of well-being and fulfillment: increased concentration, the ability to understand and be present with others as well as a new sense of self-awareness of habitual thought patterns that lie beneath the surface. Meditation creates an experience where we can observe and witness our thoughts and feelings thereby creating space vs. identifying with them.

It is important to find a practice that resonates with you - something you can enjoy and develop into a practice you look forward to. Meditation modalities are customized to your personality and needs. Options include Sufi dancing, mindfulness practice, listening to binaural beats, trance or ecstatic dance, walking meditation and guided meditation.

Meditation is such a critical practice to begin to know yourself, practice presence, and track your thoughts and feelings. By simply observing, we can learn a lot about our mind and feelings. We make space for ourselves which allows for greater self-compassion, forgiveness and grace.
